AT&T Android Phones To Get Android 2.3 Update

Good news for AT&T Android phone users- your carrier of choice has confirmed that every AT&T Android phone released this year is about to be updated to Android 2.3.

That’s welcome news for the many who’ve bought an AT&T 4G phone this year like the Samsung Infuse, Motorola Atrix or HTC Inspire. The full list of phones that will get the update also includes the Samsung Captivate, the LG Phoenix and the Pantech Crossover.

The Atrix Android update is already rolling out to users while the HTC Inspire is set to be updated very soon.

The Infuse update is due later this month, if AT&T is able to keep to its announced schedule. Infuse users will be pleased about that – up to now they’ve had the pleasure of owning a great 4G phone with an impressively huge 4.5 inch display but have had to put up with using an older version of Android.

Now it looks like the Samsung Infuse should be getting its 2.3 / Gingerbread update within a couple of weeks.
