Full Galaxy S II Skyrocket Specs
When AT&T launched it’s new high-speed 4G LTE phone network in September there was just one problem – the carrier had no phones compatible with the new network technology. That’s about to change with launch of two new devices, the >HTC Vivid and the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
Both phones are due to hit AT&T on November 6th.
The HTC Vivid will come with a large 4.5 inch qHD Super LCD Screen, a fast 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera with a large aperture f2.2 leans and 1080p HD video recording.
Add to that a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chats, 16GB of storage, Android 2.3.4 and AT&T’s new super fast 4G LTE network and you’ve got a pretty decent device.
Official AT&T price for the Vivid will be $199.99 on a two-year contract.
The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket will come with fairly similar specs: 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, 1080p HD video recording, 16GB storage, 4G and Android 2.3.5 under the hood.
Pricing for the Galaxy S II Skyrocket on the standard two-year contract will be $249.99.
In addition to the two new phones, AT&T is also expanding its 4G LTE coverage to Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Athens, Georgia. At that point the faster network will be available in nine markets.
Existing phone users will be able to use their current data plans in the new coverage areas. DataPlus gives up to 200MB for $15 per month with an additional 200MB for $15.
DataPro users can have 2GB of data transfer for $25 per month with an additional 1GB priced at $10.
The hotspot & tethering data plan, DataPro 4GB is available at $45 per month and allows users to share their 4G connection with multiple devices.
