LG Thrill 4G Launching on AT&T Soon
Pre-orders are already being taken by Radio Shack for AT&T’s first 3D phone, the LG Thrill 4G.
The Thrill 4G, which is the AT&T branded version of the LG Optimus 3D, comes with a blazing fast 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4 chipset and a set of dual 5 megapixel cameras for 3D video and image capture on the rear of the phone. As with the Sprint EVO 3D it’s possible to switch off the 3D features and view and create videos and still images in normal 2D.
Apart from the 3D features, the LG Thrill 4G is a pretty powerful 4G phone but it’s likely to face stiff competition right from the launch date – not only from Sprint’s already best-selling EVO 3D phone – but also from two other 4G phones that are due for launch on or very close to that date, the Droid Bionic and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
AT&T haven’t officially confirmed the launch date but it’s almost certain to be August 7th and LG Thrill accessories are already up for grabs.
Other Thrill 4G Specs & Features
The Thrill runs Android 2.2 with a large 4.3 inch touchscreen. HD video frame rate is 1080p for regular 2D video and 720p for 3D video.
Content can be shared with other devices via an HDMI connection – cable included with the phone – and there’s also an AT&T mobile hotspot for sharing your 4G network connection with other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
