T-Mobile’s First 4G HSPA+ Modem

T-Mobile has announced pricing and a release date for its new high speed 4G modem.
The Rocket 3.0, which launches on May 25th, is priced at $99.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Customers will also need to signup for mobile broadband plan. The Rocket 3.0 will also be available without a contract for $199.99
The new Rocket is not just another modem – in tests it’s consistently performed well and provided speeds very close to that of Verizon’s 4G network, currently the fastest available.
The company says customers concerned about the merger with AT&T need not worry – the new 42 Mbps modem will also work with the AT&T frequency spectrum. The carrier also says that all contracts signed under T-Mobile will be honored for the duration of the contract.
T-Mobile’s current fastest phones are the Sidekick 4G and the Samsung Galaxy S 4G.
