No question, the Samsung DROID Charge for Verizon is one of the hottest 4G phones that’s available to buy right now. And it’s not difficult to see why.
Not only is what can only be described as blisteringly fast – because of the speed of the Verizon 4G phone network (the fastest true 4G network) and the snappy 1GHz Hummingbird processor – but it’s also kitted out with a beautiful 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, which shows images, graphic and video in superbly rich colors.
On top of that, the battery life is noticeably better than Verizon’s other main 4G phone the HTC Thunderbolt and the shots from the 8 megapixel camera are also of outstanding quality – sharp with great light and contrast.
Up to now, however, the one little fly in the ointment has been the price tag on the Samsung DROID Charge. The official Verizon price on a two-year contract is $299.99. Now, that’s always been a cost you can reduce by buying through Amazon or another online store – but until today even the online cost has still been considerably more than the other two Verizon 4G phones the LG Revolution and the Thunderbolt.
But today Amazon has reduced the price still further. At the time of writing Amazon are offering the DROID Charge on a two-year contract for a very affordable $99.99.
If you’re a new Verizon customer you can pick up the DROID Charge now for that price. If you’re a current Verizon customer wanting to upgrade to the awesome DROID Charge you can still get a better deal from Amazon than the official price from Verizon stores. Today’s upgrade cost is $189.99.
