AT&T customers may have had to wait for quite a while for the “true 4G phones” to arrive but now that the carriers new high-speed LTE network is up and running the phones are flying onto the shelves – and this Sunday, November 6th sees the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.
Being one of the first AT&T phones with 4G LTE network connectivity it’s bound to capture the attention of buyers – and not just for 4G. The Skyrocket is a lot like its relation the Galaxy S II, launched earlier this year.
That means you’ll get the same large 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GB RAM, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor – though this time it’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 rather than an Exynos – and Android 2.3.5 running the device. Check the full Samsung Skyrocket specs.
Other than that, the Samsung Skyrocket is very similar to the Galaxy S II – so really only worth an upgrade for the LTE network option if you’re in one of the new AT&T LTE coverage areas.
