Samsung Stratosphere – Verizon 4G QWERTY Slider Phone
The first Verizon 4G QWERTY slider phone is here in the shape of the Samsung Stratosphere.
Aimed squarely at the kind of buyer that might usually buy a Blackberry but are looking to make a move – whether for the larger keyboard for greater ease and comfort when writing emails and messaging, or for a more reliable network than that provided by RIM.
The Stratosphere has some pretty impressive specifications – 4 inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3, 1GHz Hummingbird processor and a 5-row QWERTY slide-out keyboard. Of particular interest to business and enterprise users is the support for Microsoft Exchange Active Sync and VPN (Cisco AnyConnect 2.1 SSL) as well as the mobile device management and encryption features.
In terms of cameras, you’ll find a main rear camera of 5 megapixels and 1.3 megapixel front camera, All this and access to the blisteringly fast Verizon 4G network. See our spec sheet for full Stratosphere specifications.
The Samsung Stratosphere is available now from Verizon for $149.99. The best online price we’ve found is from Wirefly where you can pick it up for free with a new two-year contract.
