Serious mobile gamers looking to get their hands on a 4G version of the so called PlayStation phone from Sony Ericsson have had their wish granted with the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY 4G PlayStation phone which hit the shelves of AT&T on September 18th.

Interestingly, AT&T has given the Xperia PLAY a great price right from the start. With a two-year contract the Xperia is just $49.99.

That compares well with the $200 price tag that Verizon have placed on their version of the Xperia (that said, Amazon Wireless are currently selling the same phone for $0.01 on a two-year contract).

As well as being equipped to run on the AT&T 4G HSPA+ network the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY has a 4 inch 480×854 screen, 1GHz single-core processor, Android 2.3.3 and the distinctive slide-out PlayStation style dedicated gaming keyboard.

On the mobile gaming front the phone will come pre-loaded with an array of titles like Dungeon Defenders, Asphalt 6, Madden NFL 11, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, Tower Bloxx, and Crash Bandicoot.
