Sprint Plans Updated Epic 4G

Following the highly successful launches of the EVO 3D 4G phone and the View 4G tablet, it seems Sprint is planning an updated version of the popular Epic 4G for later this year.

Although the details of the new Epic 4G are a little thin on the ground, it doesn’t look like the new Epic will be that much different from the current version – the main upgrades being an 8 megapixel camera instead of a 5 megapixel camera, a physical keyboard and a 1.2 GHz single-core Hummingbird processor. The likely launch date for version 2 of the Epic 4G is this summer.

Sprint also due to launch their version of the Samsung Galaxy S II – which will be called the Galaxy Within – as well as a number of Blackberry phones.
