Verizon has moved into the mid-price 4G phone market with its latest price drop on the LG Revolution. Or at least, kind of. While the official Verizon price of the Revolution remains $199.99, buying online can reduce the price significantly.

Lowest price for the LG Revolution we’ve seen? That would be a massive $149.99 price drop to $49.99 on Amazon Wireless.

While the Revolution doesn’t match up to other Verizon 4G offerings like the Thunderbolt and the amazing Droid Charge, it’s still an excellent phone for that price. For less than the cost of the either the Thunderbolt or the Droid, you’re getting a fast 1GHz Snapdragon powered with Android 2.2, 16GB of internal memory (expandable with microSD cards), a great 4.3 inch touchscreen display with accelerometer and proximity / ambient light sensors and, of course, the blisteringly fast Verizon 4G phone network.
